Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully and sign the form below, before registering for Summersong Music Camp.
These Terms & Conditions apply to any person attending Summersong Music Camp, whether as a registered attendee, faculty, guest, contractor, staff member or volunteer. Summersong Music Camp (SMC / Event) is the event provider and may update these Terms at any time to be effective immediately. Submitting your registration form indicates that you accept SMC Terms.
1. Bookings:
a) Summersong Music Camp reserves the right to make any necessary changes to the Event or its fees at any time.
b) Your booking is not confirmed until full payment is received by SMC. SMC cannot accept liability for payments declined by your payment method for any reason technical or otherwise. No tentative bookings will be accepted.
c) After payment is received by SMC, a confirmation will be emailed to you. If you have not received an email from SMC within seven days of placing your booking, it is your responsibility to notify SMC via the contact page.
c) SMC will not be liable for any third party arrangements or associated costs including, but not limited to; accommodation, camping, meals, travel to and from event, online activity or other activities.
d) On booking this event you accept full liability for any risk you may take physically and mentally by participating in the classes and activities.
Refund policy: Please read our refund policy carefully.
a) Cancellations received in writing by the Event organiser by Friday, 16 December, 2022 will be accepted and all fees refunded less an AUD$50 administration fee.
b) Refunds will not include any transaction fees, flights, travel, accommodation or associated costs incurred.
c) Cancellations received after this date may be partial and cannot be guaranteed however, transfer of your registration to another person is acceptable and is your responsibility. The full name, email and mobile phone of the new attendee must be advised in writing no later than 48hrs prior to the commencement of the Event.
d) Refunds will not be made to any person who breaches the Terms & Conditions of attendance.
e) SMC is not liable to refund registrations based on changes to the event or cancellations due to a reason outside of the event provider’s control, including weather, venue closure or Government restrictions.
f) Summersong Music Camp recommends that participants take out their own general travel insurance to secure themselves against any loss, including; registration fees, airfares, accommodation charges, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property or loss arising from the cancellation of the Event by the organisers or a person’s inability to attend.
Attendance: This is an adult music camp. Youth can apply if attending with an adult who is also registered. Infants, young children or pets are not permitted into the conference activities. Family or friends of attendees are welcome to attend the final concert night as part of the audience of class performances. Notification of family or friends must be given to SMC. If you have a disability, please advise the organiser to ensure accessibility is suitable.
The Summersong Music Camp organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or remove from the event, any person whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate, including:
• offensive and/or abusive language,
• threatening or violent behaviour,
• physical, verbal or sexual harassment,
• any behaviour that threatens the health and safety of others,
• the deliberate damage or theft of items, equipment or furnishings,
• any other behaviour deemed inappropriate by the organiser.
Where a person is refused entry to, or removed from the event for any of the aforementioned reasons, no refund of registration will be payable.
Images/recordings: Photographs and some visual recordings will be taken throughout the event by the organiser/assistant for promotional purposes only. This does not include audio recordings of original works. Please advise if you do not wish for images to be taken of you. Still images are acceptable to be taken by attendees, however the audio and/or visual recording of classes, performances, presentations or any other activities at the event should be done so with permission from faculty, presenter or performer.
COVID-19: You agree that you will not participate in the event if you are unwell and test positive for COVID-19. You acknowledge that by attending the event you may be exposed to the possibility of contracting an illness, including the COVID-19 virus. While the organiser will implement reasonable measures to attempt to minimise the risk of this or of any other virus, you assume full responsibility for protecting your own health and safety. You also assume responsibility for your behaviour to minimise potential contamination to others.
Physical risks: The event will be held near natural bush land where danger of injury from any means including wildlife can occur. You agree to take full responsibility for your own safety in the case of nature walks or other activities in and around the venue.
Indemnity & Release: You agree to indemnify the Event organiser against any loss or damage the organiser may suffer arising out of your negligence or breach of the Terms and Conditions. To the full extent permitted by law, you waive all legal rights of action against and fully release the Event organiser, its employees, contractors and agents, for all claims for compensation for loss, damage, injury or death howsoever arising out of or in relation to your attendance at Summersong Music Camp.
